How To Play
- Before you enter the game, tap the logo to change your player's color.
- After you enter the game, move around by dragging the grid, and find the perfect spot to start.
- Starting near other players gives you better opportunity to both attack and be attacked, and starting far away from others lets you build your world in peace
- If you have friends online, make sure you find them before you place your first tile, as you cant change locations once you have started
- Pick up tiles by tapping and dragging them. You can only pick up tiles that you have placed or that are unplaced
- Your first word must be connected to a blue bordered tile. If you are clever, you can extend someone else's word as your first word, as long as its connected to a blue border tile.
- Every consecutive word you place must be in line with a previous word, but that doesnt stop you from incorporating other player's letters. In fact, its encouraged!
- By extending another player's word, you can steal the entire word for yourself, giving you a hefty points bonus
- Use the map button to open the world map. From here, you can see a map of the entire world, updated in real time.
- The Players Button opens up the players panel. Click a player's name to teleport to them
A brief animation will play before you enter the game. It will show you the basics, but the instructions are also listed below
Mobile Controls
- Tap and drag to move around the grid
- Tap and drag a tile from outside the grid to place it inside the grid
- Tap submit in order to submit a word. You must submit one word at a time
- Double tap your tile to return it to the tile box
Desktop Controls
You may combine the mouse and keyboard controls in whatever manner suits you best.
Mouse Controls
- Click and drag to move around the grid
- Click and drag a tile from outside the grid to place it inside the grid
- Click Submit in order to submit a word. You must submit one word at a time
- Right Click your tile to return it to the tile box
Keyboard Controls (advanced)
- Use the Arrow Keys to move around the Grid
- Press 'enter' to begin edit mode. The tile you are editting will flash yellow.
- Use shift with the arrow keys to change the tile you have selected without changing the view.
- Type the letter of the tile you wish to place, while in edit mode.
- Use Shift+enter to submit a word.
- Use Backspace to remove a tile, or type a new letter to swap it out.
- There is an advanced feature called Tile-Hop. Use Shift + one of WASD to set the direction of the tile Tile-Hop
- Press space to advance the selected tile in the direction of the tile hop
- Tile Hop allows for extremely quick "typing-like" experience when playing Jumblex, and serious players are encouraged to use it
